Email Vault Stubber

Each attachment stored in the Vault has a unique hash value. When another instance of an attachment occurs, the Vault Normaliser places a small pointer object into the Vault database referring back to the initial instance of the attachment. Under normal conditions this technique provides significant storage savings.

The Preemptive Email Vault Stubber is a utility database that replaces attachments in mail databases with URL links pointing to the attachments in the Vault relational database. This allows end users to seamlessly access their attachments while offering significant storage savings.
